Yelena is an in-network provider with UnitedHealthcare and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield Only, and out-of-network provider with other insurance companies. Medicare and Medicate, and the insurance companies who supplement those services, are not accepted. No-fault and Work Compensation insurances are not accepted.

All co-payments and co-insurance are due at the time of appointment. An acupuncturist is in a category of specialist in your insurance fee schedule. 

The payments for out-of-network service is due at the time of appointment. The special bill will be given to you to get a reimbursement from your insurance company.

The fee for acupuncture treatments is based on your insurance company fee schedule if you have an acupuncture coverage with UnitedHealthcare and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. 

If you did not meet your annual deductible, the payment is due at the time of an appointment.

Please, call your insurance company before you schedule an appointment and ask if it covers acupuncture or not. Insurance companies have different plans and some of them do not cover acupuncture. Please ,do not forget to ask your insurance provider if you have a deductible, what percentage of the bill they cover, how many treatments are covered, and if there are any limitations on diagnosis codes. 

It is your responsibility to know the details of the plan! Please, call your insurance customer service for coverage confirmation before scheduling an appointment. You are responsible for the amount your insurance company will not cover. After we will receive an electronic payment confirmation from your insurance company, we will send you the invoice by e-mail for the amount which was not covered. The payment is due upon receipt.  

If your insurance company does not cover a session, the fee for each session is $135. Discounted rates are not applicable to insurance clients because it takes up to 5 hours or more of our time to submit, monitor each claim or resolve problems if your insurance company tries to reject a claim.
